Every year I haul my ancient air conditioner out of the window where it resides, wash it out thoroughly, update the air filter, plus manage to drag it out to the shed for winter season storage.
- Every Spring I go retrieve the ancient AC unit, struggle to bring it up the hill plus into the house, plus spend hours fiddling with it as I attempt to reinstall it in the window, then the whole process is bad plus wastes afternoons of my life.
To make matters worse, the air conditioner in question is well over 15 years old, plus it barely works anyways. I spend the whole summer time keeping an eye plus ear on the rickety ancient cooling unit, plus often have to go fool around with it to make the thing toil respectfully. I swear to you, it quits working more afternoons that not, plus I have to provide the ancient cooling device a few superb bangs before it will kick back into gear. The air conditioner is not energy efficient, especially compared to today’s standards, plus it makes one hell of a racket when it’s working. To make matters even worse, the a/c device leaks a few times a month, spraying dark liquid all over my floor plus making a new mess for me to wash up. I know that the AC device isn’t worth hanging on to anymore, even though I have a hard time throwing things away. I’ve made up my mind, though, I’m getting rid of the air conditioner this year plus buying a brand new central cooling device once plus for all.
